Brand Review: The Super Facialist By Una Brennan

Helllooo my lovelies. I have a little obsession with finding great skincare products. This obsession started when I had a major break out last year and kept getting these awful spots all over my cheeks and could not get rid of them. They would clear up only to be replaced by new ones. So because of this I have tried a lot of brands within the drugstore price range and researched ingredients that are helpful for acne prone skin. Therefore I have found quite a few products that I love which have helped calm my skin.

As of right now, one of my absolute favourite brand is from Boots. I have been obsessed with Super Facialist by Una Brennan. These products for me have been amazing and really helped me towards clearing my skin. These products amongst other things of course, but I can talk more about that later. Today I will be telling you what I think about each other these products I have been loving from the brand.

To start off with let me tell you about my go to moisturiser right now. This is a Rose Hydrate Radiance Day Cream. It has SPF15 in it and has a very light rose water scent which is catered towards all skin types, even sensitive skin. Now for me, I have combination skin. I used to gear towards moisturisers for oily skin thinking that because my skin isn't dry, I don't want a moisturiser which is too moisturising, if that makes sense. However I find then when you use a really great hydrating moisturiser, it keeps the oil in check anyway, because your skin does not feel the need to produce as much oil anyway.  Now this is all from personal experience. But this moisturiser makes my skins feel really plump, soft and well moisturised without feeling oily or greasy in anyway shape or form. The light scent is calming and I just love it. I have now repurchased this twice but I haven't ever paid full price for it as I have always bought it when it is on boots 3 for 2 offer, however it retails for £14.99 for 75ml.

My second favourite moisturiser is the Vitamin C+ Brighten Skin Defence Daily Moisturiser. This is a great moisturiser for helping towards a dewy complexion. Vitamin C is always going to be amazing for your skin, it's like the Vitamin C suspension I mentioned from my post on The Ordinary products, it gives your skin a natural glow.  This one however is not concentrated so it's much more usable and can definitely be used daily without causing any irritation. I love the smell of this because anything that has a citrus scent, for me is a win win. The reason this falls into second place is simply because it's slightly more pricey as £16.99, therefore I use it less than the Rose Hydrate moisturiser. But both are great and make your skin feel soft, supple and hydrated. Both worth the cost.

Now, onto cleansers. This one has worked great with my skin. It's the Salicylic Acid Anti Blemish Purifying Cleansing Wash. I have come to learn that for acne prone skin, facial acids are the way forward. Products with Salicylic Acid in them have rarely failed me. In fact, I used a face wash without it once and I broke out again. Now I can't 100% point the finger at the lack of this ingredient for me breaking out, but it's the number 1 suspect. Regardless, I love this face wash. I put a blog of it on my spin brush morning and evening to keep my skin in tip top condition. It never dries my skin out or irritates it and I barely break out now. I have repurchased this now at least 3 times. I'm in love. This retails for £5.99 for 150ml.

Out of all these products, this one is my favourite. The reason it is my favourite is because it has changed up my skin care regime drastically and unexpectedly. I know, I know, big words right? Well it's the truth. I use this Vitamin C+ Brighten Skin Renew Cleansing Oil on days where I have been wearing makeup, in the evening before cleansing. I pour a little bit of this golden magic onto my palms and gently massage it onto my face, eyelids and eyelashes. What I love is how easily and effortlessly this just melts my makeup away. No tugging, scrubbing or effort required, it just removes all my makeup. Now truth be told, I have not tried this on waterproof makeup because I don't own any, however it works for what I need to work for, and it does an amazing job. It also smells fantastic because again, that citrus smell does it for me. I have only bought this once because it seems to last forever, I'm only half way through my bottle and I have has this for at least 4 months and I have definitely used more than I need to as I am a bit excessive sometimes. This retails £10.99 for 200ml. I will 100% be repurchasing this once done.

Hope you guys enjoyed this product review and find it helpful for yourselves. Let me know if you try out any of these products or if you already have and how they worked for you. Peace! xo Follow
