The Internet Made Me Buy It: Bootea TEATOX

Hi guys, i'm doing a review today of the internet's ever so popular "diet tea" by the Brand: Bootea. I went and purchased this tea myself from Holland & Barrets for £24.99 just to try it for myself and see what all the hype is about. You see the thing with these teas is they are being sent to bloggers to advertise for them. The bloggers are then told what to say and when to post photos on their social media platforms. The best part is that the bloggers are paid. So, as much as I would love to be paid for drinking tea and posting photos, sadly I am not. However for you guys that's a bonus because my opinion is 100% unbiased and unswayed by financial gain :D

Firstly to start off with I did post a video of this on youtube so if you wanna go and check it out, I've left the video right at the bottom of this post so when you're done here go and have a look...please and thank you.

Secondly, I want to stress that I love tea. So this is basically a professional opinion...

Okay so to get into this, I tried the 2 week "Teatox" which is meant to last for 14 days and includes 21 tea bags. 14 of said tea bags are the "day time" tea bags and 7 of which are "night time" tea bags. The tea is described on the website as a "natural cleansing tea that will leave you feeling energised." and Guys just a side note, I didn't realise until afterwards that if you buy the tea straight off the website, it's actually slightly cheaper. Right now they are also on sale for £12.49 which actually is not too bad.

I wasn't a huge fan of the tea, if you watch my youtube video on it you'll see that I mentioned I wasn't a fan of the taste and I thought it was over priced for what it was. Obviously taking back the price thing because I now see you can find it cheaper. But also I said that I had to make myself drink the tea and also didn't manage to drink it everyday without fail. The mix of ingredients for me, wasn't to my taste. I still think it's a great tea as it's full of pretty amazing ingredients which are good for health and wellbeing.

The day time tea bags are made up of: Chinese Oolong Tea, Yerba Mate, Ginger, Lemongrass, Fennel Seeds, Dandelion Leaf, Siberian Ginseng, Nettle Leaf, Gotu Kola & Gingko Biloba. The night time tea bags are made up of: Senna Leaf, Peppermint Leaf, Fenugreek Seeds, Liquorice Root, Burdock Root, Hawthorn Leaf, Valerian Root & Psyllium Seeds.

These are all really great ingredients and also have their own unique benefits to them. The tea of course is good for relieving that bloaty feeling we sometimes get, but I feel you can get that from many other teas which are easier to get ahold of and cost less. I didn't experience any weight loss from drinking this tea either but then again, that wasn't really my personal goal with using this tea so it wasn't a disappointment for me. I just wish that the fennel and liquorice wasn't included and I'd probably enjoy it a lot more.

Overall, I do think the tea does what it says it does. It has a good mix of ingredients that are good for different things and the tea bags themselves are really good quality. Personally, I think it's over priced, but if you can get it on sale then it's a good buy. Maybe don't go to Holland & Barrets like I did and just go directly to the website. Also if you, like me, are not a fan of Fennel Seeds/Liquorice you probably won't enjoy this tea. Finally, I just want to say I don't think this is a bad tea. I just think that it's not exactly the secret to anyones beauty/health regime. If you started drinking Green/Peppermint tea daily, you're probably experience the same effects.
